दिल्ली के घोंडा स्थित पंचवटी पार्क में छात्रों के एक समूह ने नुक्कड़ नाटक के ज़रिए यह संदेश फैलाया कि अपराध से निपटने, करियर बनाने और बच्चों व महिलाओं के लिए सुरक्षित समाज बनाने के मकसद से स्कूलों में ‘लीगल स्टडीज़’ (कानूनी शिक्षा) उपलब्ध कराना ज़रूरी है।
दिल्ली पुलिस के पूर्व ACP और अब वकील श्री वीरेंद्र पुंज के नेतृत्व वाले ‘कानून का कायदा मिशन’ से प्रेरित और निर्देशित होकर, ‘गो क्रेज़ी एकेडमी’ के छात्रों ने पंचवटी पार्क में “कानून की जानकारी न होना कोई बहाना नहीं है” विषय पर एक नुक्कड़ नाटक का मंचन किया। इस नाटक का उद्देश्य स्कूलों में कानूनी अधिकारों और नागरिक जिम्मेदारियों से जुड़ी कानूनी शिक्षा उपलब्ध कराने के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाना था, ताकि अपराध से निपटा जा सके, करियर बनाया जा सके, रोज़गार हासिल किया जा सके और भारत में विशेष रूप से बच्चों और महिलाओं के लिए एक सुरक्षित समाज का निर्माण किया जा सके।
बच्चों ने दिखाया कि कानूनी जानकारी युवाओं को ट्रैफिक नियमों का पालन करने और दुर्घटनाओं व साइबर धोखाधड़ी से बचने के लिए कैसे प्रेरित कर सकती है। साथ ही, उन्होंने अपराध की रिपोर्ट करने, सबूत पेश करने और अदालतों में विचाराधीन मामलों के लंबे समय तक लंबित रहने (जिसके कारण कैदी बिना सुनवाई के जेलों में सड़ रहे हैं) से जुड़ी देरी को कम करने में कानूनी जानकारी की भूमिका को भी उजागर किया।
स्कूल डायरेक्टर श्री मूल चंद त्यागी ने आठवीं कक्षा से ही कानूनी पढ़ाई के महत्व पर ज़ोर दिया। कुछ अभिभावकों ने सवाल उठाया कि अगर स्कूल छात्रों को कानूनी पढ़ाई का विषय पढ़ाने से मना कर दें तो क्या होगा। एक अभिभावक ने पुलिस के असहयोग और जांच में देरी की शिकायत की; उनका आरोप था कि हत्या के मामले को सड़क दुर्घटना के मामले में बदला जा रहा है।
कुछ लोगों ने इस बात पर चिंता जताई कि बेगुनाह होने के बावजूद उन्हें दहेज, रेप, हनी ट्रैप, आपसी सहमति से बने रिश्तों और जबरन वसूली जैसे मामलों में कानून की जानकारी न होने के कारण गलत तरीके से फंसाया गया और उनके केस लंबे समय तक चलते रहे।
स्कूलों में एक विषय के तौर पर ‘लीगल स्टडीज़’ (कानूनी पढ़ाई) समाज में, खासकर महिलाओं और बच्चों के खिलाफ होने वाले अपराधों को रोकने में मदद करती है।
‘गो क्रेज़ी’ के मालिक मुकेश अग्रवाल की माँ, जो एक सीनियर सिटिज़न हैं, प्रोग्राम के दौरान बेहोश हो गईं। मदद के लिए की गई इमरजेंसी कॉल पर दिल्ली पुलिस की तुरंत कार्रवाई की सभी ने तारीफ़ की।
सभी इस बात पर सहमत हुए कि स्कूलों में एक विषय के तौर पर ‘लीगल स्टडीज़’ (कानूनी पढ़ाई) ज़रूरी है, क्योंकि यह समाज में अपराधों, खासकर महिलाओं और बच्चों के खिलाफ होने वाले अपराधों को रोकने में मदद करता है।
इस प्रोग्राम में लगभग 200 लोग शामिल हुए और उनके लिए मीठे पानी का इंतज़ाम किया गया था। दर्शकों ने युवा प्रतिभागियों की शानदार परफॉर्मेंस और उनके सामाजिक संदेश की तारीफ़ की।
‘गो क्रेज़ी एकेडमी’ के फाउंडर मुकेश अग्रवाल ने नितांष, हार्दिक, अंशिका, आरोही, वंशिका, विहान, चिराग और मानसी को उनके बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन और लगन के लिए बधाई दी और सम्मानित किया। यह इवेंट शांतिपूर्ण ढंग से संपन्न हुआ और एक दिलचस्प नुक्कड़ नाटक के ज़रिए कानूनी जागरूकता फैलाने के लिए लोगों ने इसकी तारीफ़ की।

Students of Go Crazy Academy inspired and guided by Kanoon ka Kayda Mission led by Former ACP Delhi Police and now an Advocate Shri Virender Punj,
staged a Nukkad Natak at Panchwati Park on the theme “Ignorance of Law Is Not an Excuse”, aiming to create awareness on making available legal studies subject educations in schools about legal rights and civic responsibilities to combat crime make career gain employment and safe society particularly for children and women in India.
Children displayed how legal knowledge would help in motivating youngsters to obey traffic rules to avoid accidents, cyber frauds, how to report crime, tender evidence and avoid delays in large scale pendency of undertrial cases in various courts where inmates are languishing in jails since long with no trials.
Shri Mool Chand Tyagi a school Director emphasised the importance of legal studies from 8th class. Some parents questioned what if schools denied providing legal studies subject to students. One parent complaint of non cooperation on police in action and delay in investigation alleging converting a murder case into road accidents case.
Others raised eye brows over prolonged trials of cases despite being innocent claiming falsely implicated in cases of dowry, rape, honey trap, consensual relations and extortions due to ignorance of law.

Nearly 200 residents attended the program, during which sweet drinking water was arranged for visitors. The audience appreciated the impactful performances and social message delivered by the young participants.
